Hi all, well some may know I did an olive wood pen for a guy in Cyprus!!!...he has just commissioned another from we'll see attached!
This is really old timber that was used to make a local church....no pressure then:pray:
Looks like you've got more than enough there to cater for a few mistakes, not that you'll need it. Did you get to the bottom of the first commission? - you weren't totally convinced that it actually was olivewood I seem to recall.

I was 'told' it was olive, but it was very hard and unimpressive.....but yes I have got to the bottom and it's Olive, but very old and from up in the mountains hence it's very dry and hard....what I had last time was great to turn with lovely ribbons coming off.....he has asked for just 2 pens from that, I think it might do 20, time to go shopping for some "nice" kits
You will be praying that all goes well then, I'm sure it will. You could ask for some divine intervention or guidance.
That looks a lovely piece of wood, well done. A picture of the finished article would be great.
