This is a piece of Spanish olive that Jim gave me the kit I haven't got scooby were that come from all I know is it is crap the other kit is in the rubbish box which is a shame as these kits were one of the best at one time the black band on the centre band is just a slot part filled with paint were as they used to be a separate part the band was made up of three parts but not this one the band in the middle on the nib end should fit inside the centre band and it dont and to make matters worst I cleaned the ends of all the tubes before assembly but whiles it was laying on the bench both ends of one part cracked open so bin it bloody cheep chines kits who gave it to me ?

A gorgeous peice of wood and beautifully turned though.

I think Brian bas a point about the kits getting worse, I guess its trying to keep retail prices low and profits up, something has to give.
