Whilst I was at Southport Flower Show I met a guy called James Newburn. He runs a company called Olive Wood Turning. He is probably the largest importer of Olive Wood in the country, based in Lytham St Annes. He is a fascinating guy to yarn with and knows a lot about olive wood. He is a small time learner turner but most of his time is spent cutting, sanding and preparing bowl, spindle, and pen blanks. If you have a table saw or bandsaw you can also buy boards by the metre and the prices at less than £20 are well worth a buy.

If you do buy anything from James, please do me a favour and mention both me and this site!
