Afternoon all,

Turned from Spalted Oak, finished with melamine lacquer (ref Phils tech). Any comments and critique please.

Thanks.

Evening chaps,

Thanks for the comments.

Peter - not stabilised as such but during the turning process I dripped thin CA and ground coffee into various holes and fissures as they became visible. Increased the turning time some what! Took a lot longer finishing the pen as well - several coats of sealer and lacquer. Not in the 'CA as a finish' camp but only time will tell if not using that was a good decision.

Regards,
Chriscb
