Hi
I have just completed this gold Omega in Olive using the melamine lacquer finish. I am thinking of keeping this pen for myself and a jeweller friend has offered to make a domed tigers eye stone for the top cap. Has anyone tried this before on an Omega? Apologies for quality of photo.

That's a lovely pen Ian. One of my favourite woods to work with and it always repays the work with a gorgeous finished look.

Easiest way to see if the top pops off is to give it a tap with a close fit punch.Tiger Eye, with my wife we staffed the Lapidary stall at the Canberra Show this morning with lots of beautiful Tiger Eye pieces, would be a good choice Ian. Neat pen either way.

Peter.
