These are not everyone's favourite, in fact they are fairly unpopular with experienced penturners, Woody and Walter hate them I know, but they were one of my best sellers. The thin style was a favourite, particular with Ladies.

However, they have been discontinued and this is the last of my stock, and if to prove a point I have sold two of these already!

They are from left,

Neil - I'm with you on one diameter - I think it looks smart. I also like parallel sides on all my pens - not keen on bulges and curves. Unless it is to follow the curves on the kit e.g. Sierra.

I'm not familiar with that kit but it's a pity it has been dropped because I would be out looking for it.

Great range of woods and grain by the way.

Very nice Neil but I think you are misinformed I love all the old type pens I know Walter don't like them as we have had these come up on several occasions on other forums and we have both vetted our opinions on them the only reason I don't turn them any-more is the price now that I dont sell many pens

Sorry Woody, thought you didnt like em. Will be dropping the Almond and Supplejack in later in the week, up your way for a show.

Its a shame they don't do them any more because I like them a lot, they look classy and would definitely be buying some if the price wasn't stupid. No need to comment on the standard of turning or finishing Neil as its up to your normal excellent standard.

But the price is hideous, I paid £4.90 for those kits, Axminster are charging £14.45?? How on earth can they justify that? There's no profit left for the impoverished pen turner!

Neil have you tried turners retreat to see if they have any of craft supplies old stock left over

Suddenly everyone wants em, if they were a good seller they would have been restocked.
These have been around for years and subject to much past ridicule.

I'll need to put my thinking head on for that, I don't have it with me at work.
Where is my thinking head I can't find it anywhere?

They look to be a fabulous pen and remind me of the Sheaffer Targa range of the 1980s I'd buy the kits if they were cheaper. Like paulm says the standard of turning and finishing is par excellence.
