As with most people life gets rather busy around this time of year. I had some time Christmas Eve to do this pen. I had wanted to try a high end pen and this is the outcome. Great Palace Vine with amboyna. I have about 4 hours in sanding and finish

Like your definition it is high end indeed. I think I braced myself for ornamentation but I was taken away when I looked at the grip section Don quite a mix of design shapes and application. I think from memory a member from the USA Ed Street had close photographed every detail of the pen before.Four hours in sanding and finish without drilling glueing and turning is somewhat of a record I do believe with such an investment in blank, kit a record time spent on it was justified. Lovely pen.

Peter.

Don is this one of those $120 kits? It's a beautiful pen. I can't imagine taking 4 hrs to finish but your efforts are spectacular.
Yes it is one of those kits but I did not pay that. As for the 4 hours, first time I finished it there was what looked like dust in it, 2nd looked like fish eye, 3rd was cloudy and the final is what you see in the picture.
