Daveygee gave me some of these kits to make up for Pens for Heroes this is one of four a lot of people dont like these kits because the end of the wood is unprotected on the cap personally this has never been an issue to me how many unprotected veneered bit of furniture have survived to become antiques to me if they are treated with respect they will give years of service.
but as I have done with this one you could always use acrylic after all wood on a pen is mostly protected with plastic so this shouldn't be an issue any more I have some wooden ones glued up for tomorrow to show how I strengthen the exposed wooden edge
I did enjoy making this kit up it was a nice change to turn between centres and keep me eye on the size

I think I still have some in the old stock of me Dad's somewhere..:thinks:

Dont remind me Eamonn they are very addictive I ended up having hallucination on them and when I come off them it was even worst some mornings I would get up and find me clothes all over the bungalow as well as in the garden never again mate
