I found the tutorial for this a couple of years ago on IAP,
IAP Library - Pens - International Association of Penturners
Made this one today with Purpleheart, but you would never know it.
I tried all the tricks to bring it back to deep purple but none seem to work.
I think the best is to just let it sit on the sunny window sill for a couple of weeks or longer and just maybe it'll turn back.
