Hi all,

Try number 2 failed, but this time it failed further along in the making. I didn't even swear - honest,
and I was so gentle with it .

I am not quite sure what the wood is, but I think it's a form treated tulip. It smells of burning when being sawn or turned.
Try number 3 tomorrow. I thought it was Walnut but it is far too light for that.

Maybe it will help to stand the lathe on a bench instead of hanging it from the ceiling upside down:whistling::whistling::whistling::whistling::whistling:

As Mark stated you need to make sure the glue covers all of the inside for good bondage.:thinks:

Someone said recently if you do not twist but push in it causes a bubble to form thus gaps in the glue.I find using glue in the blank and on the tube its messy but always holds for me.
