Against my religon, but finished it in CA as the burr was so solid I had to remake the lid three times as it kept disintegrating. Sharpened the tools three times, it made turning Arizona desert Ironwood feel like turning Walnut!

Anyway, here it is:

That's one great looking pen Neil. Bit of a rarity to see you do CA....

Nice bit of wood with nice markings as well:thumbs:

That's pen is a woodturningz special if I remember rightly! Never turned or seen one in the flesh but looks nice.

You're right Eamonn, it's from wood turnings. Of the three specials they do it's by far and away the best and I don't know why no other manufacturer has something similar. Effectively it's a jr gent or baron but not as a postable but as a desk pen. It works well and although the threads are still plastic, the closed pen doesn't show it making it very elegant.

Their other specials are the eclipse which redefines ghastly and the Phoenix, the latter you can get from stiles and bates. The Phoenix is a big pen suited for men, and the decoration only appeals to a certain cross section (pun intended!) of that market!
