Found a lump of wood in garage(w/shop) marked Paduak 12 x3 x3 £7-50, no idea where I got it from, decided to thin it down, quite a surprise when a piece of dull brownish timber turned into bright orange on the cut faces, band saw looked like it had been "tango'd" suppose it'll darken with exposure.
Got to figure out what to do with it now, it's in 3 @12 x 3 x 1(inches), probably a segmented bowl.
By the way, how is it pronounced? padooack ? padawk? or some other?

Take care when using it as it can be a skin irritant when worked the dust is the worst always best to shower when you finish

Very timely Woody. I have a board of timber mate in nth America lives not far from where I bought it, he cut it up for me as the seller had become totally allergic to this Rosewood Cocobolo.
