Hi, Guys,

Here's a couple of Zetas I did earlier. Unfortunately the one on the left blew up on the lathe (did you hear the screams of anguish?). I glued the two halves together, hoping that the join wouldn't show, and carried on turning and finishing. I then assembled the kit, positioning the clip so as to cover one side of the repair, which worked OK, but decided not to sell it. Instead, it has joined a small pile of pens in the kitchen the wife uses for shopping lists, etc. Ouch!

Very nice, I do like TM Zeta kits.
Must get some more.
Not tried to turn anything but wood so far, but seeing results like yours make me want to try non wood blanks. Esp as my 'Micromesh' stuff has just arrived in the post.

I carry one of my mistakes with me every day at work and it responsible for quite a few sales. Nice looking pens.

At the Wood Show last weekend one demo bloke showed me his small micromesh set used now for years at every demo he has done they were still in good nick very impressed.

Crap happens mate easily fixed if you buy spare brasses chuck the broken one cheaper than losing the use of the kit.But lovely pens well turned beaut home pen.

Feeling the pain Bob, had one blow out yesterday. Had to sieve the hoover to get the bits back.

Both look great to me, you would never know... :thumbs:
