I turned a bit of pallet, coloured it, and it looked ghastly!

Back to the tubes, and left this one natural.

Quite holographic in real life, but cant get a pic that shows it!

It's Spruce from a pallet block. very difficult to get clean ends. Very soft indeed!

The bottom end looks great but as you say it does not show properly in the photo, I can just make out the ripple in the top but not so much

Very interesting looking timber Neil , not so sure how well it would fare in the bottom of a handbag with some 10 kg of godknowswhat on top!

Reckon a Polymer clay pen would be in more danger under those conditions!:funny:
