Anybody tried these?

I ordered one to try from TB as it's listed for the sierra but I can't fathom how to fit it in place of the pen refil. It just won't go in.

i can't see how it would work anyway as the sierra is a twist mechanism whilst the pencil refil is "push/push". Any ideas?

I've emailed TB to see what David says

I bought 50 of those a while ago, I've got 49 spare if anyone wants some. I have just about given up with pencils. After they have been in and out of protective wrapping a few times for shows, with the exception of the Vertex and various sketch pencils, the leads in all others disintegrate into a million and one pieces and jam inside the bloody mechanism. The returns on them were horrendous and I gave up on Pencils, the demand was low which didnt justify me retaining it as a stock item.

Sorry to say this but in my opinion they are crap.

No it isn't Rowdy.
I've had some helpful advice from David at TB (he responded very quickly) and a link to a video showing how it works. It's a twist type so simply replaces the pen refil in sierra, cigar and some others. I'm still not 100% convinced but we'll see how it goes.

Cheers Bob,
Not a bad idea.
Neil does not seem to think it is though....

I haven't written it off yet and David at TB has asked me to keep him up to date but I played with one last night and I'm not impressed. Great shame as I could easily sell a pen / pencil set in sierra style but I'm not going to risk it.
I have another 3 on order which should be delivered soon so will wait and see in case I have a dodgy refill. I fear that Neil could be right however!
