I have been given some real Brazilian Rosewood that was ear marked for flooring.

It was sent to France in the seventies, the guy died and the son in law got the wood, got a bit about 10mm thick, like parquet flooring size, and a lump approx. 25mm x 50mm and about 500mm long.

Really nice stuff.
