I placed an order with Axminster so while I was doing so thought I would get the Pazazz pen kit to try. Any way here it is in a Eucalyptus Burr blank. There is a very slight difference in the cap end which shows up bigger in the picture than it is

You've turned a lovely piece of wood there Derek but I'm not sure about the kit. I've only ever seen them in photos and maybe they're better in the hand.

Eamonn, sent me one of these kits a few months ago Paul, i am also skeptical about the kit seeing only images of them, so i look forward to making the pen to actually see how it looks in the hand ..

This is well made Derek, with a nice choice of wood .. :winking:

Novelty Pen IMHO with a great blank mate they do sell and have their own following worth the making ,i think the difference is greater as in the last pic mate.

This is one of those pens that I was not sure about, that is why I only got one to try. It does take a bigger blank to make this kit. It is OK in the hand but only for those that like a larger diameter pen. Even after making it I am not sure about the kit if it sells quickly I may buy one to replace it.
I did have problem with the finish on the cap part kept leaving a dull patch so took it back to bear wood cleaned up and reapplied the finish. Once both pieces had a great shine to them I rubbed them back to give more of a satin/semi-gloss finish
