Great pens to turn, they allow a fair bit of play in shaping and style, I just don't find they sell quick..
Nice choice of timbers Jonathan and well turned and finished:thumbs::thumbs:

Thanks again Mark,

Agreed, They feel like a carefree, have at it, go to town kit to turn.

But they feel a bit clumsy, unbalanced and unnatural in the hand once done..

Yet my brother loves them. He has hands the size of coal shovels, so these are just the job for him and he stands them upright so they don't roll away on the desk.
Nice work Jonathan. Nice to them.

They used to be called Panache I have made about 20 over time, I have had to replace 8 at my expense because the thread keeps stripping, essentially to stop them coming apart in ladies handbags they overtighten them!! Needless to say they are now on my dont make list!!

But welcome to the forum anyway.

I bought three of these things when they first appeared, they have been accumulating dust. I thought they looked ridiculous, were totally impractical and would only ever have been used by someone who sought personal ridicule. I turned them last week in my quest to get to the bottom of my pen kit stock. Hopefully there aren’t any left, I’m pretty sure I didn’t buy more, I always try a couple of new pen kits either to get a better assessment of the kit or, as in this case to provide myself with some amusement. This confirmed that it has no chance of making it on to my top selllers list. Why would any one want to actually buy one of these as a completed pen? I think I will still have these three this time next year!
