I saw this kit whilst at Turners Retreat last week so bought a couple. My son nabbed the first one and have have kept the second. The blank was a bit tricky to turn as it seemed very brittle. Especially at the edges. In fact one chip on an end was a lot deeper than I expected and had to be filled with a little CA. I was surprised how well the CA patched. Finished with Micromesh pads and a car polish.

Ooh yum! Always loved that blank - although green would be my personal choice. They have a fearsome reputation for chipping at the edges, you did well to finish them so nicely.

I would have had the green one but they had sold out and only had the black left. I might make a green one next time.

I hadn't realised how delicate they are at the edge until I started roughing down. I saw this video this morning which confirmed my thoughts so I am glad it wasn't my poor technique.
