The idea that a Cypress (coniferous) could also be a hardwood is absolute nonsense!

Linnaeus will be turning in his grave!:funny:


Pecky= fungal attack, leaving the voids that are shown

Hardwood= some of the trees lose their foliage in Autumn and hence, behave in a Deciduous way.

It is in effect a rotten softwood, only available in the US.

Some holey Yew might work well for this sort of thing.
