Ok, so my fiancé bless her sole has just uped the level of difficulty for me. It was all set, all I was to do was to make 5 duchess pens all in wood with a decal on it of some sort with the date of the wedding as a present for the bridesmaids. She NOW says she wants a laminated pen, wood on the outside, with a line of sage green, white, and then sage green in the middle. I was looking for acrylics, and I can't find anything with sage green in it....any ideas? Might try looking at some veneers whilst I think about it but it's as far as my thinking takes me... any help gratefully received

One timber stands out - Muhuhu from East Africa. It is a distinctive pale sage green with a lovely spicy fragrance as well. Over time the colour tends to deepen somewhat.
Got loads of it, PM me if interested, bound to have a few thin offcuts

Timber from Tanzania home of the African Blackwood sounds exciting, it can be like rosewood difficult to glue. Great to see members helping members with exotic timbers.

Peter.
