Most people are not patient enough for surface delivery. You'll have to get an airship model.

Hi Peter,
I bought this and the guy who sold it thinks it was built in the 80's. The original kit comes with a canopy and back cabin that has been lost, so I might make one.

I have done the maths.
I think I can travel a mile per day. UK to Australia by water is 13,750 miles. So allowing for any problems like scurvy, that would take 38 years to arrive.

Lovely pen! But as a member of my local model boat club, I'm really impressed (and envious) with the steam launch. Only seen 2 sailing on our lake in the past 5 years or so - Cheers

Hi Tony,
She is a beauty. I love running it up and listening to it. I joined a club last week and I hope to get to the lake tomorrow for my first try with remote boats, I got a hold of this sailing vessel.

That's another beuty, Our clubhouse has been locked up since the onset of Covid, my Tug & RG65 sailing yacht are locked inside (I don't have a car so keep them there) May take a trip to the lake tomorrow as well see if anything is happening. Here's the Tug in my test tankHi Tony,

Lovely! Make sure your club has a rescue boat, just in case you runout of gas in the middle of the pond, or the screw gets fouled (there's crap in all ponds) most clubs will have a pusher tug to push stranded boats back to shore, Enjoy tomorrow

The Tug is a beauty Tony. I bet you are itching to get back out there.
When I popped down the lake last week I noticed a few of the guys had fishing rods with them with a ball attached to the line, I suppose to retrieve a stranded boat.

Yes I've tried that - didn't work! - well for me anyhow, never got to the lake on Sunday so I'll have to try again.
