Inspired by Brody's title I bring you news of the complete lack of taste of the good people of Norfolk. Exhibiting at a craft fair at the country home of Her Maj, I parted company with three Polaris objects. Readers may be reassured that they were neutered prior to release into the wild.

Neil hearing of the avoidences in good taste shown in Norfolk is saddening perhaps weather? location of the site, time of the year all contribute is there a history of fails in Norfolk before? Do you meet other penmakers at these venues? Is there are trend in progress with pen sales in general. I would have thought with your population dynamic bums on seats or feet on the ground should be the least worry. When potential buyers push pull twist mechs or encourage their children to beg for free cstuff is it hard to smile or are people accomodating, enthusiastic or just not interested? Uncertainty in new Govt slash and burn policies, boat people etc are leaving us in uncertain times.

Brian,

My doctor also required a recount and the accountant a stock check, so being the end of the year, I have done that. Having one I found in stock, plus ten I ordered, I should have had eleven, but I still pinch myself but alas can still only find eight in stock. At £17.50 there are some who actually like the pen. Off to South Wales next weekend and as its the lambing season it might sell as some sort of labour inducing device so who knows, will report back!

Dare I ask what is a Polaris pen, does it look like a missile?

This pen, should it be a missile, would be dangerous only to the firer. It could not have been conceived by a five year old designer armed with a lego set, it is not that good. Aesthetically, take a pen, and lengthways insert it into a vice thereby compressing its length to around 75% of its intended length and then replace the twist mechanism cap on the top with an M12 roofing nut and imagine, coupled with this monstrosity, a nib section looking like a gout inflamed toe joint and you have the Polaris.

Timberbits still carry the pen on their website, the anti virus software prohibits me posting the link here.

OH B**L***S:rant:

I think I might have bought one on one of my TB orders.
I'll have to go and look now. Do I need to use any PP and maybe take a weapon of some sort with me?
