I made "her indoors" daughter a Stylus twist pen today. I'm pretty pleased with it

As they say "Pride come before a fall". And this was the fall. Another stylus twist pen - or it would have been :sob:

yep, been there done that & got the video Chas :funny::funny::funny:

Turn it off & start again, better than buying new tubes.

On t'other one, looks good although you can see the brass tube a bit I think, paint the tubes before you put the blank on. I use black spray paint from the £ shop. Let it dry a while then glue the blank in. Makes the colour of the blank deeper too.

Thanks for the advice on painting the tubes. I was wondering if it should be black, white, or the same colour as the acrylic

Hi Chas, turn the top and bottom of the same tube off and put some black on it, I think that would look good.

Damn good effort Chas both good choices of blanks as both look good on pens .. As already said, turn the acrylic off the blue one and re-use the tubes, all experience my friend .. :bwink:

As Paul said turn the end down to the tube and replace it with a bit of blackwood or a piece of oak and rub some vinegar over it with 000 wire wool and it will go black
