Hullo, I was inspecting my pen last night, can't get a start on with it yet as I'm still waiting on some drill bits but I did a trail turn on a bit of oak. While I had all the pen bits out a small washer appeared on the worktop and I'm not sure if it is a component of the pen or a bit of excess from the injection moulding process?

The pen is the Omega Fountain, the washer looks like it could sit on the plastic insert that takes the cartridge that sits inside the brass tube.

Should it be there? Does it make a seal against any ink inside the pen leaking out?

Sorry I haven't a pic but I can get one when I'm next in the shed.

In lieu of a badly lit poorly shot photo, here is a sketch in HD showing where I think it goes.

Does the Omega have a washer on the part I've highlighted? The washer is tapered, but I am not sure if it is even a part of the pen.

Hopefully the pics will make it clearer..

That looks like a shaving from inside the threaded insert to me and nothing to do with the finished kit.

Excellent thanks, I was struggling to see how it would go together. I dropped it twice among the cig ends and sawdust and spent 10 mins looking for the bloody thing. I'll bin it now.

Yes, I was quite annoyed but I've put it down to the fact that I need to sort out my lighting in the shed and maybe sweep up once in a while. :rolling:

Reminds me of the ad on car parts of the guy who strips down his car to find the noise and at the final strip finds a loose screw in the glove box glad your problem is solved if it laded on my floor it would have been lost mate.
