I received a sample pack of pen refills from Phil of Beaufort Ink - High quality pen refills at an affordable price and have been trying them out over the last few days and found them to be of an excellent quality the x refills that come with 7mm kits I have found to be very sub standard for quite a while I tried the Beaufort refills and it was like going from a cranky ol banger to a R/R they are so smooth to write with same with the Parker type refills the standard kit refills I find to be a bit hit n miss most of them are very scratchy and stop start ink flow Phil's refills well there's no comparison the ink flow is continuous the stainless ball doesn't keep sticking and I love the gel refills they come in three types standard, soft & smooth and gel the Rollerball refills they are a completely different experience pure luxury they do transform a pen into a writing instrument in fact all of there refills do.
The only shame is I dont sell many pens now but for you guys if you want to impress people with your pens then Beaufort Ink - High quality pen refills at an affordable price is the way to do it also if you want to produce top quality writing instruments then these refills are a must you spend all that time crafting a beautiful pen and is it right to just stick any ol crap refill in them that will leave your customer frustrated and give you a bad reputation I personally will be changing over to them

The new gold and gunmetal Omega Rollerballs will come with Beaufort as standard. The Chrome kits will follow suit once the original stock have run out. (Around 50 kits)

Now you need to get the suppliers to sell the kits with quality refills to begin with.
Dan has got the message when will the rest start to listen?
At long last we are making progress lets have some quality in our goods instead of selling good looking crap.

I couldn't agree more Dan, more power to you, I am pleased for you.
Long have I moaned and grumbled about kit quality as many are aware and refuse to buy from those who chose not to listen or improve.
I don't do the quantities of others, it's my hobby not my profession, I have had my learning curve and try to steer others in the right direction.

Could I just add +1 for exactly what Brian said.:claps:
I introduced both of these suppliers to the club website and will be following up next week with their latest updates.
It's great to hear of success in home grown business :contacts:

I too think that we now have a fantastic pen in the omega (I haven't tried the zeta yet), will have another in the next pen Dan has in the pipeline, some superb blank creators with George and Brody and great pen refills from Phil... Am I selfish in saying I don't want people outside this forum to know about it? I want my pens to be the best locally :funny:

But I can't keep my big gob shut and do tell people so thats that

I've just bought some and I'm so annoyed with myself for not taking more care when I ordered. I didn't look properly and ordered Parker and cross in retail packs and roller ball loose :goesred: I've yet to try any of them as they are for the fair stock but if they are really as good as everyone is saying then I'll have to look at fitting them to all my pens too.

Thanks Woody for going to the trouble to review your refill samples. Needless to say, I'm delighted you like them and that your review is in such glowing terms.

I've sorted you out now Ray - the solution to your oversight is in the post today.

I know, I even put links on my website.
Thanks for the link on your website Walter - very kind of you and much appreciated.

And thanks to everyone for your kind comments, your support, your various links and the promoting of Beaufort Ink which I know many of you have done. It's really kind of you.
