Has anyone made a complete pen from the shavings?

I kept all the shavings from a pen and then made a blank by mixing them with titebond glue. I put this into a blank sized box I made and put it in the aga for a few days after it refused to dry.

When eventually I tried drilling holes in it, it moved about a lot and the hole ended up all shapes.

Having filled in quite a few holes with the shavings which quite often look like burrs, I thought it would make a good looking pen....
