Well, I don't have any 'normal' pens made with a self cast blank yet, but I had a go at turning this 'oblique' dip pen from a fairly simple blank I cast a while ago.

I make a lot of dip pens, but don't usually turn them - until now I have mostly done ergonomic ones, which are hand shaped from the resin block. Again, cast by hand...
