Here is a couple of grinders I finished for home use. Pretty happy with the result, they are very pleasant to hold and to use:) Crushgrind mechanisms are great.

Experimented a bit with finish - used sanding sealer before final fine sanding, then applied 3 layers of osmo oil, and buffed - this gave a much smoother finish than the same procedure without the sealer. Soft and silky feel to the finished timber - much more pleasant than lacquer finishes for example.

Light timber is weeping cherry, and I forgot the name for the darker timber, but it was kindly donated by Penpal for this project, so big thanks to him!

If I'd made those, I would be keeping them as well, they're great.

Best Regards
Paul.

I like those a lot, I bet the shape is great to use.

I've not tried the crushgrind mechanisms but I keep looking at them and wondering.

A nice set of mills shape is great. I always find it so hard to decide what type of shape to use

Thanks you guys for good words! Terry - I do not have as much time for woodworking this days (or nights) as I would like. But now I am making a couple of pens for Christmas presents, so should post more soon:)

Thanks, Phill! The mechanism looks, feels and works top notch. I am not sure if I am allowed to say this on English forum, but this is a BMW of grinders:)
