This is a pepper mill I made this week, red cedar, finished with three layers of Osmo Oil. Got tired of a lot of very similar traditional designs, so came up with this one:)

This was the oil that they had in the store (it actually specializes in floors and counter tops) when I first tried to use oils about 10 years ago - so I just keep using it. I like it, it gives durable finish. I have a few wooden items from that time that are still looking as new. I believe the oil is made in Germany.

Very nice Ilya, I too have used Osma Oil for a long time, on wooden floors and our kitchen worktops. Outside I've used it on a wooden owl that is still like brand new since I put it there.

It is quite hard to come up with something different for mills a very interesting shape and well. Osmo oil is not something I have tried but I have heard plenty of people that have used it
