Signed. They don't need to get them in the post just go to the local supermarket to buy a knife and if too young get someone to buy for them so it would not stop a thing

Already unimpressed when nail files are considered totally dangerous on aircraft. Trust the petition helps avoid problems.

Peter.

Signed, it clearly goes beyond what is sensible or indeed needed. Does nothing to stop the idiots, as always they will find a way around it anyway.

I agree with you, but for some crime bring back capital punishment, it has been known to stop repeat offenders.

I will go with that, I lived in Singapore and Asia for 7 years, and they dont have repeat offenders for drug dealing, I would gladly , pull the switch, throw the lever or whatever to end the life of those lowlife scum

I have also e-mailed my MP as below:

Dear Anne Marie,

I wish to express my concern over the implications of the above bill, which if implemented will make it impossible for self-employed tradesmen to have bladed tools delivered to their residence, hobbyists to acquire specialist tools that OTC retailers could not justify stocking and furthermore, contravenes the human rights of the house bound and the infirm unable to travel to bricks and mortar shops.

As an amateur woodworker, tester of tools and freelance author for a national woodworking magazine the serious impact this will have upon my ability to carry out my work is of great concern to me and many others.

It appears that this proposed legislation is a bureaucratic knee-jerk reaction to the serious problem of knife crime. It will likely have little impact on those who perpetrate such crime but seriously inconvenience many going about their legitimate business.

I ask you give serious consideration to supporting the removal of Article 15 from this ill thought out Bill.

Kind regards

Walter Hall

i'll do likewise Walter, Anne Marie is our local politician as well.
Bet you're glad you don't have that crook Ian " Lavatory" or his buddy in crime Ronnie Cambell. Best known as the Blyth / Ashington Mafia. :rolling:

Beyond me how such self serving oiks ever became politicians.

The easy way Walter, via the mining industry then unions fast tracked them, add to that if you put up monkeys for election in the areas they represent they'd still win hands down. ( Actually they did put monkeys up come to think of it :rolling:).

I have history with the bloke so I'm biased, goes back to my father who was dying of emphysema and Lavery was the union secretary who effectively screwed him and many others out of £ thousands while lining his own pockets. He still hasn't answered questions about illegal redundancy payment, mortgage payments on his house written off and missing union cash plus others while in the meantime pontificating about other issues and accusing others of covering up.

I found him to be a liar, cheat and thoroughly nasty piece of work when I dealt with him on behalf of my old man. Don't get me started, I gave an interview to the Sunday Times and the BBC who are both trying to nail him but he's as slippery as a snake.
