Hi,
Now I’ve figured out how to upload the pics I thought I’d show you guys a few pine cone pens that I’ve made. I get my pine cones from an area near to my home called United Downs. It was the most heavily mined area in the world in the early 18th century and still bears the scars of the tin and copper mining. The only trees that thrive in the mine waste are pine so the cones have a significance to me. I cast my own blanks after drying out the cones and then turn up the pens which are all different. When I ask people what they think the pens are made from they generally have no idea. Hope you like them.
Neil???
