This is the pine cones I cast earlier in the week. The resin I used was SG2000 and it is very thin so poured very nicely into the mould and I didn't have many cone holes so it filled very nicely. Turning it was ok, taking a bit more care because of the cones but I just couldn't finish it. I put ca on it and took it back off, more ca, re-sanded, sanded with wax... I tried everything but couldn't get a good finish.

There are two other blanks that I won't be using so if anyone wants a go, then shout top or bottom and the first two get them... Don't forget to pm me your address. I would suggest that you would have to be fairly experience to try these.

Paul. From what I remember SG2000 is for over painting and not suitable to polish. The best thing is they look bloody gorgeous and in your normal thin PU or Alumilite shoved in that bloomin great pressure pot they are going to look fantastic :thumbs::thumbs:

I'm too late as well. The way I see it so many people want to try them you may have to cast more Paul.

I am going to have another go Bill but I won't be selling them as there is already a superb seller of pine cone blanks in George and I don't want to go into that business. Have you tried Georges blanks? They are a dream
