knocked out a couple of things today for the little monkey in our lives.

A little scrap laminated oak spinning top and something for her to sit on, if she ever does 'cos she can't sit still more than 10 seconds. :funny:
Found a nice bit of elm for the seat but only beech for the legs. Crap pics again off my 'phone.

Thanks guys, I wish I'd waited and taken the trouble to dig out some elm for the legs but too impatient. Just realised that the pic makes it look as if the legs are straight when actually angled out about 10 deg

We're likely to get frustrated screaming as well when she realises she can't work the spinny thing properly. :funny:

My missus has now ordered me to make little Alice a stool, (we used to call a cracket in the old days) so she can reach the WC handbasin to wash her hands without help. :rolling:

Good to see you spending time in the workshop Bob, the stool will probably be used by the Granddaughters daughters, with a story of Great Granddad attached to it ..

On Saturday I made an airer that screws to the wall and kind of drops out, I'll post a pic, Neil saw it almost finished on Sunday.

That was another "command" jobbie. :rolling: my daughter in law said she needed one but son says "no way we're paying £90 for one of those, "dad'll make it for free" - which means I'll be fixing it as well. :funny:

I made 3 legged stools as well as crackets for both my kids when they were small but they've disappeared down that big hole in the world.:thinks:

Take a guess
Nice work Bob I'm sure she'll love them

If you turn a large dish with a rim & another spinning top you can play battle tops, my younger lad loved playing this, the dish gave the added bonus that I didn't get ear ache from SWMBO because he had some where else to spin the top rather than doing it on the dinning table :sob:
