My first Omegas. I was pretty excited about these. I arranged a swap with a member of this forum and because of my accident have only just been able to turn these. You will note that the tips are not screwed in all the way. When assembling them I must have distorted the female end as they will not engage. Here is the plonker moment. I did it twice before realizing what I had done. I made a little collar for the next time that will keep me from pushing on the end of the fitting. Does anyone know the thread size? I will try to chase the theads. If not successful I will just knock them apart.

If I can fix these I will post better photos.

Terry. I have had the odd problem with these in the same way as you are finding, when pressing the parts into the longer tube I now pass the threaded hardware through a close fitting washer so as not to press down on the start of the threads, this seems to have solved the problem.

The threads on the coupling do sometimes break off when putting the pen together Terry .. I use a tube with an acrylic blank on it and place it over the coupling to press the parts together ..

Knock out the coupling and replace as these blanks look top quality my friend ..
