Superb job of that Neil, looks nice and simple with no numbers.

Have you planted a piece of timber on the back of the ply and made it a ring of ply?

I have routered and turned ply and never managed to finish on a layer that's consistent and decent enough to be used for finish/presentation.. maybe me not getting the timber square or the ply quality was crap. But that was too easy to blame for me., :winking:

The ply was some 3mm packing ply and some 9mm I had left over from a commission. The badge was engraved on a piece of 3mm, drilled in the middle and glued to another 3mm bit that was laser cut as a circle with a 55mm square cut out to seat the mech. The frame was 3 9mm pieces glued together then turned into a rebated frame with any voids filled with thick ca and dust. Another piece was then screwed on the back with a 55mm square cut out as the mech still projected slightly and it needed more room for the hanger.
