Hi Matt they are very easy mate I cut a piece of wood about 4" long x 2" wide centre it in the chuck with just two jaws then centre the disk on it using double sided carpet tape turn to shape sand and finish then loosen the chuck and slide the sacrificial bit of wood along to drill the hole and taper it then sand and finish that part I also buff it after on a buffing wheel hope this helps mate tools you can use scrapper, carbide tip but I prefer the wedge tool
