Ray, just another little tip for you. I find that putting the bushings in the pen tube and then when rolling out you can get the thickness spot on. I only go just above the diam of the bushings and then when you put them on the lathe you don't need to use cutting tools, just sand through the grits until you get your desired shape and finish. It also saves wasting the expensive Milifiori Cane.

Thanks Vic I was wondering if potting a layer on first would work going to try a leopard skin one tonight I had finishe doing them and was going to give the single coloured blocks to you but you have changed my mind showing that LOL

Bloody shot me self in the foot then Posting that eh Woody. Seriously mate stick at it I think it will be a nice pastime in the cold winter nights when you don't get in the shed so much, you can build a nice stock of blanks up.
