Hi Jed,

Yes such as the ones by KN Polymers I don't know how they do it. But I do it by a process called caning ....... google it fimo tutorials also on Utube. For me it's work in progress as I am nowhere near good enough at it yet. It's a very time intensive job for individual blanks and that is why they tend to be expensive K & N seem to have away of replicating patterns and that i'm sure is a well guarded, deservedly so, secret.

I find that the way I do it at the moment is quicker cleaner and generally cheaper than making polyester or acrylic resin blanks.

Im also working on inlays using fima which i think I might get right later this week:thinks:

Thanks for the tutorial, Steve, I'll defo give it a try. Couple things: PLEASE use a plain font in future instalments, for the sake of old (blind) gits like me! I had to zoom in then scroll left to right to read each line ...

Second: have you tried sealing the blanks with CA rather than acrylic lacquer? Just wondered if it might work ...

I downloaded the tutorial the other day trapper, very well put together and informative, but like jimjam says, it was very hard to read, dont despair the younger members will have no problems reading it.
