How do you stop the braid from fraying Les when you cut it to size

Tremendous detail to the nib Les that kit is outstanding with the braiding. There should be an outstanding sequence of admiration powerful enough because your innovation in all your workmanship alongside but different for example from the Frenchman Pierre in Paris and some others who could for me at least demand another description and classification as befits your genius.
Let it be on record how fortunate I am to have both of you as friends and special heroes on this and other forums.

How do you stop the braid from fraying Les when you cut it to size
Vic,
I anchor the braid to a black painted brass tube with Ultra Thin CA.
I trim the ends proud with a pair of tin snips.
I square up the ends with my belt sander.

I am sure people expect to see some sophisticated mystery methods Les but only you could show such a clean ,efficient pair of snips and a small belt sander straight out of Sander beautiful. Your immaculate workshop is testimony to your work ethics and skill.
