Hi All,

Poplar burl and a bit of Pearl-X Gold.
The bushings are no good as the finish was way under the fittings. No problem as I can take the pen apart and start again with new bushings. All good practice.

I use two calipers following a bad experience twenty years ago one for each end measured at the fittings each time. I appreciate your dilemma Paul, it is a most beautiful blank.

Thanks Peter,
From now on I will measure the bushings. I recently used a vernier for a key ring project as I didn't have the correct bushings and it worked out ok.

Hi Graham,
I enjoy making the vids and don't really mind if the item doesn't end up perfect. I have had a few occasions where the project has gone flying off the lathe but unfortunately I didn't have the camera rolling. I would love to post something like that.
