Just sprayed with Lacquer and yet to decide on a base. Turned on 3 centres.
Turkey Oak stained red with an Ebony button. Ash veneer, Sycamore, and a twig sprayed green for the stem and leaf.

Very nice Neil the rays of the wood are just right and set the poppy off just great

Brilliant. Is that the natural edge of the turkey oak, or did you have to "help" it a little to get the shape?
I used a fine saw blade to texture where the petals were cut in then burnt the areas to match the darker edge.

Vey nice Neil love it should the leaf be pointing to 11oclock m8

I actually didn't know that Woody. I just positioned the leaf as the one I bought!:goesred:
