Snazzy... The trouble is that there is probably as much work in the box as in the pen does that double the price? I have found that many people dont want to pay for the boxes.:goesred:

Hi Eamonn,
nice pen boxes with the insides to match the pens. Love the blue foam. Beautiful in every way mate. Well done. Nice to see you up and making your boxes again.

double!:rolling: I would expect quadruple Pierre.

Yes making the boxes has taken quite a bit of time to get right, many jigs and firewood along the way.:goesred:

Eventually made myself a sled, saves so much time and effort setting it up. Making them really is a labour of love to a certain extent as I don't suppose they will ever pay back the time and effort spent on them.

Sell a few boxes to our learned pen turners from time to time.

You are right, people don't want to pay for the pen let alone a hand made box as well.

I only tend to do comisioned pens with boxes now tho, TBH I haven't sold a pen in 2 years, sold a few pens and boxes and that gives me much more pleasure.

I have done engraving (all sorts of things) for weddings and cut out place names as well. But that's fell on its ar$e now due to a virology war we are in.

So it's given me quite a bit of free time not doing "other stuff" so to speak.

Things take much longer than they used too, but I keep taking the meds and then I believe I can tackle anything and everything.. which often fails at the first hurdle..:funny:

Lovely artistry Eamonn. I love the box, very well formed. The issues on sales are well founded and very saddening. Less folks appreciate well crafted articles...

No disrespect intended, the pen is also superb!

Be well and stay healthy

That’s a great combination, lovely colours. I know what you mean about people not wanting to pay for a box, only producing the combination to request makes perfect sense.

Ha ha ha, leave off the finish and the magnets as well and send a set of crap instructions.

Would love to see how many put the magnets in the wrong way around :funny::funny::funny:
