Pristina Tubes

got a pair of Pristina to make

is it me or are the tube sizes unusual

seem to measure 12.8mm & 11.7mm
been through my whole box of bits and have nothing close
12mm will be too slack and 13mm will be the same

and imperial wont do it either
15\32 is 11.9mm better than 12mm i guess
1\2 is only 12.7mm so nearest is 13mm

any ideas ? or am I trying to get too close

I guess I could give them a thick coat paint first

Cant help you Steve I haven't turned a pristina in ages but I cant remember them being a problem

I see that David lists them as 11.9 & 13

so will drill a scrap and try the fit

Probably the best way Steve it works for me when I am stuck.

I think, from memory they are 31 and 33/64 drills required, same as Roman harvest.

If these are the correct sizes Steve I will have a look in the morning to see if I have them sizes if that would help.

Steve, if you're a CA man, I can see why you need a more snug fit, but Gorilla or epoxy will hold your tubes easily in 12 and 13mm holes.

Not had a problem using the bits Timberbits advise (12 & 13) & I use CA on the tubes

never made a pristina and this is a set of GW Blanks

so want get right first time
