Today i cut and drilled some blanks for both the Baron and the JR Gents. Both the kits use the same size drills but again today as in the past the JR long tube is a very tight fit into the blank, so tight that today i had to use my rubber mallet to tap it in? Am i missing something here or have you had some of the same issue ... .:thinks:

Take a guess
I`ve had similar problems Jim, I bought a set of Milwaukee metric drill bits today which go up in 1/2mm sizes to 13mm hopefully that will overcome these problems in the future.

I have had similar problems with some kits, even slimlines. I now measure the tubes before I drill and pick an appropriate bit. I have two sets of drill 1mm - 6mm in .1mm increments and the same .1mm increments in 6mm - 10mm. I wish I could find a set that does 10mm - 15mm in .1 increments.

Jim,

I have continually stressed even with the best intentions in the world even the top drills do not measure up I take calipers in when I buy important sizes put them in baggies with the size marked on the outside

Hope this helps you it sure as helps me.

Kind regards Peter.
