PSI comfort pen question?

Hi guys.

I am making my first (PSI) Comfort pen, and I am adding a stylus tip. What are the brass rings for and how do I install this thing? I am assuming I just press it in and screw the stylus tip on, but the 3 brass washers are confusing me.

I've never had anything to do with this kit, does anyone know what he is talking about?:praying:

Virtually all of the PSI pens come with a PDF download eg https://www.pennstateind.com/library/PKCFPEN_ins.pdf which include assembly diagrams. Is he sure that the bits came from his kit or has he mixed up a few bits?
