Ok it's not a pen, but pencil!

First attempt using some purpleheart, this isn't as purple as I'd like. I've cut some more blanks and put them on the kitchen window sill as I've heard sunlight can help return a better colour....we'll see!

Lovely grain on that Paddy. My own opinion is that it is just right and as usual a wonderful turn you have done with it :thumbs::thumbs:

It looks a nice pen.:thumbs:
Turn & sand your blanks ready for finishing & put them in the window for a couple of days for the colour to come out then finish them with your chosen finish.

Looks a nice shape and finish Paddy, as for colour it’s always subjective and as others have said it looks quite nice as it is.

However as Bill and Mark says, sunlight will help. But in the UK you might have to wait a while :funny:
