Now I have turned Wooden Pens, Acrylic Pens and Corian Pens I am wondering what other members think are the best, do buyers prefer a certain material or are they all liked. Do young people have the same preference as older people. It would be interesting to see your views

A difficult question to answer Glen, I like it all. I prefer to turn wood but I really like casting but hate turning them due to the long thin bits constantly wrapping itself around the blank. Corian is ok but its very limited due to its size.

That's a difficult one as no two peoples preferences are the same. I get some saying they don't them too chunky and some that like them chunky, others say they like acrylics others like wood. It horses for courses as far as I'm concerned :thinks:

As the others have said. Difficult questions as we all prefer different aspects of our hobby.
I enjoy turning all of the to different degrees, but wood is my favourite
As for selling. I've found Acrylic and Corian sell best to younger people, whilst those over (say) 40 prefer wood :nooidea:

Having sold loads of pens for Blind Veterans I find acrylics sell best. Colourful & shiny attracts customers. This has nothing to do with my preferences just a fact.

I like turning it all, just because I love making a bloody mess! Nope:I really love wood best but will try anything.

If I had to choose I would go for Wood as my preference burr wood in particular.with regard to selling then I must say that the Acrylics seem to do the best around here.
