Is Friction Polish the same as burnishing cream?

I have some friction polish and thought I had some burnishing cream but just can not find it anywhere and as such I am a little reluctant to purchase some more.
Could I use the friction polish in-between layers of CA when finishing pens?

No Gary, friction polish is Shellac based like French polish, where as Burnishing cream is a mild abrasive.
