I gave away a cheapo slimline as you do init?
He had it about 3 weeks and came back with it today said the clip was turning to start with and scratched the finish off.
This moaning he took it from his top pocket and the hat and clip fell off, bloody Chinese crap init?
I was in the shed when he turned up so quickly burned a band where it had been scored, slipped a couple of coats thin ca over it and glued the hat and clip in.
He happy and so impressed he wants to buy a lathe himself, I got a quick pic before he left with a smile on his boat.

Easy fix no probs job done best way I know as well. Hardest part of giving away pens on Tuesday this week for me was pulling the top half of the pen off unscrewing the biro to facilitate easy changeover of the biro in the future it also serves to make sure all is well a quick check one day I found a winding mech locked up and a biro what had shat itself prior to this week.,

Good one Brian making the best of the kit that cost peanuts.

Peter.
